Intervention Strategy
Legal aid and legal counseling: There is no any legal aid mechanism for refugees in Nepal therefore we propose to provide legal aid and counseling services to needy refugees. The Activity include preparation of legal documents to submit in courts and other authorities including National Human Rights Commission, UNHCR, Immigration authorities, represent in these authorities on behalf of victims, protection and collection of evidences in the cases of refugees. Likewise, considering the psychosocial condition of victims we propose to provide psychosocial services to them.
Documentation of cases of human rights violation of refugees: Refugees in Nepal are facing atrocities and violation of their rights by police and other state mechanism. But, national media and rights groups have paid less attention on these issues. Therefore, we propose documentation of cases of human rights violation of refugees and take appropriate legal action against perpetrators.
