As a way of ensuring that refugees & asylum seekers maintain a link with their families and friends both back home and those in countries abroad, the Refugee Law Project (RLP) with support from friends of the RLP set up a “free-to-access” computer facility with internet.
This was after the realization of the fact that refugees & asylum seekers have great difficulties accessing the internet especially because of the unaffordable costs in the internet cafes.
Refugees & asylum seekers now have free access to the internet and can also use the computers to prepare their documents.
Please find attached a piece written about this computer facility with comments from some of the users of the facility, as well as some photos of the facility.
